Maria Waggoner

I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Purdue University. My research is mainly focused within moral psychology. Recent projects involve: the ways that virtues can backfire in thought and action; intrusive thoughts and their relationship to one’s moral character; extended and social moral understanding and it’s use of norm internalization. I also work on the relationship between religious faith and pro-attitudes.
